Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic data team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and systems. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient and reliable management of our data assets.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement data solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing appropriate data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Optimize and tune data pipelines and workflows for improved performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures to support data analytics and reporting needs.
• Work with data scientists to deploy machine learning models into production and ensure seamless integration with existing data infrastructure.
• Identify and implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the field of data engineering and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of data integration and ETL tools, and experience in designing and implementing data pipelines.
• Understanding of data modeling techniques and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
